SRS Easter Deals
What has happened to the KP , did you sell out? The offers finished last night. I still have stock I can do at the offer price. Let me know if you're interested and I can sort it out. I'll just sit here in twiddling my thumbs until the 150-450mm comes back in stock  It won't be long - th...

SRS Easter Deals
Chris from SRS, I shall want an astrotracer also at that money if you could keep me informed. SRS sent me a good copy of Samyang 14mm by request a few years back so this is one lens I want the astrotracer for! Cheers :P I'll make this a forum exclusive and post a code on here when they arrive.

Any expectations of SRS having Easter deals again this year? Just realised I started this thread last year! I知 hoping so, its like to be the push for me to come back to Pentax if I知 honest - I知 struggling to look past a used/refurbished or discounted K1 as being the best value landscape camera a...

Let's hope Ricoh get their appetite back for Black Friday in November.... Much as I love my FA* zooms they don't work so well with polarisers or filter systems...

SRS Easter Deals
I have no issue with buying the refurbs if the price is decent. I think maybe Ricoh have realised they have made a rod for their own back with their 'like clockwork' sales and are looking to scale back a bit in the hope people will start buying lenses at full price. I have long argued that if ...

From what Chris said further back you get 2 years warranty :D As for Sam (thanks for asking) even after nearly 4 weeks in hospital he still isn't right but we are running out of options tbh. He stopped eating properly just over a year ago and would only drink milk (he used to eat and drink just a...

SALE 15% off Pentax Lenses at WEX
Yep, lens prices bounce around like something demented. I got my 55-300 PLM last December for ｣249 from Amazon (some on here told me I was wrong) Bargain! I had a used 300mm F4 star a year or so back for ｣599. Two weeks later brand new ones were ｣624 or thereabouts. Duh! I bought the 18 13...

Pentax A* 300mm f/2.8 @ Ffordes - ｣899
Hunk? Perhaps. It actually feels like picking up a couple of house bricks to take photos with! It really needs to be on a sturdy tripod but those were hand held. I suspect the shake reduction must have been working overtime! It is indeed fabulous that it can be used directly without any adapters...

Pentax A* 300mm f/2.8 @ Ffordes - ｣899
You're going to need something bigger than the stock strap to handle that beauty. You're right, but I wouldn't let the lens dangle off the body, it could easily break the lens mount so I shan't change the strap just for that lens, I'll always hold the lens. Thinking about it, it is that heavy it co...

Pentax A* 300mm f/2.8 @ Ffordes - ｣899
Savage lens. At that price it would have been hard to pass it up. Happy shooting, looking forward to seeing some shots from it. Derek Indeed it was. As to shots with it, did you see these a few posts back? https://www.pentaxuser.com/forum/topic/pentax-a--300mm-f-2-8---ffordes----899-59001/p...

Pentax FA* 85mm f/1.4 for sale - ｣699 @ WY Cameras
It wouldn't stay on the 'A' setting (no ball bearing) Why do they use a de-clicked lens anyway? The DOF will change as they stop down plus possibly focus shift. All editors can do fades in and out anyway  --

Upcoming Amazon Prime Pentax deals
Bradford Camera Exchange are one such shop. They've not got huge presence online but they're official Pentax partners (or whatever the term is). I got my K-1 from them but I've never gone back to ask for prices on lenses. They can usually pricematch with SRS but wouldn't ever be able to match Amazon...

Upcoming Amazon Prime Pentax deals
I'm not saying they're doomed, just that they make it hard to buy locally in my company. That's possibly more a reflection of the local distributor, who is known to be particularly useless. I guess it comes down to How many sales could be gained/are lost by not having any product available in th...
