Let's hope so as I am taking it to Zimbabwe to try and shoot some game. Now I just need to figure out how I am going to keep it steady.

Thanks also to Chris and the staff at SRS for my 150-450mm which arrived on Friday. Haven't had time to put it on the camera yet, but it seems beautifully made!

I was surprised how by a combination of continuous focus, moderate iso, and fast shutter speed the shake reduction worked well with the camera hand held. This was for shooting swifts in flight. Of course if you get a chance to set up a tripod, mirror up,evf, electronic flash, 2 second delay you might get better results.royd63uk wrote:

On the other hand, you might get eaten.
Take care and have a fun time!

My preferred option is a monopod, it’s light and quick to set up, and may just prove handy for fighting off predators!

We've just about recovered from the bedlam!
Apologies if some orders were delayed by a day or so but we could barely cope with demand... Couriers have been struggling too.
The codes are still working if anyone needs anything......

I wold have been tempted by the 70-200 and or 150-450 but Cuba trip and down payment for Venice has sapped my available funds...
Then someone mentions the Samyang 24mm (which I could've done with in Havana).

K-70 arrived and K-S2 collected. Thanks for an excellent PX deal, very impressed with the image quality from the nimble K-70!
Looking forward to the other lens, it will be worth the wait.

150 - 450 arrived safely. My word that is one heavy lens. At least the K1 has excellent image stabilisation!. A quick test in poor light is showing a lot of promise so I've just got to hope the missus doesn't notice it on our numerous hiking holidays.
Thanks for all your help.
Best regards

Just ordered something very special from SRS, the price reduction brought it down my budget otherwise I couldn't have done it. Big thanks!
Have also sent you a p.m. regarding a possible part exchange for a K-70.
