The link worked for me but I see you have to buy 1000 batteries minimum order!

I'm not a computer expert but I have just uploaded a 1000 pixel across'image' to the gallery and it worked OK - the new look is just like ePhotozine.I can find everything OK.

One fault I have found is that if you have not used it for a while, when you come to use it the shutter may give 1/2000th second resulting in gross under-exposure- this can be cured by turning the exposure compensation dial back and forth a few times to clean the electrical contacts underneath.

I have a Gallery of pics on pbase on the Brentwood & District Photographic Club section http://www.pbase.com/bdpc/peter_elgar_gallery
and I am on photogalaxy.com where it 'hosts' photos and I can upload my Pentax pics to this forum from there. There are very many members of photogalaxy BUT only a very few join in the 'Forum' where you can upload photos for comment etc. but when the site has a competition with a good camera as a prize all these other members come out of the woodwork and win all the prizes - nobody from the regular Forum members has won anything !

Beating the Retreat usually takes place in London Horse Guards Parade but last Saturday it was held in my home town of Brentwood in Darkest Essex as part of the celebrations for 100 year of the Territorial Army. 124 Squadron Royal Logistics Corps were the hosts. There were two bands- a 'guest band' the 17th Tonbridge Scout and Guide Bugle Band and the local one, the Brentwood Royal British Legion Youth Band .K10D with an old manual K-mount 80-200mm f4.5 Prinzflex and the 18-55mm Pentax DA., all using ISO 400 as the light was fading fast.

I didn't know anything past 'Family Snaps' until I joined a Camera Club - then I saw such things as you are discussing (in the 1950's - but a rusty chain is still good subject in 2008 )

I had a similar experience with the first K10D I got from Jessops - all black with some purple lines in it. They exchanged it .

I was asked to take some photos of a friend with his P30tn so I put my Metz 45 Cl3 with Pentax dedicated box on the hot shoe and when I tried to take a photo the shutter would not work - I checked it was wound on - film was not run out either- friend fitted his hot-shoe Cobra unit and it worked - why does it not work with a flash on a bracket ? All my OTHER Pentaxes work OK with Metz 45 flashes .

Dirk : I got so annoyed at trying to use Silkypix on my first ever RAW photos I have un-installed it ! I too could not find out how to 'save' images; I find it very difficult, even reading the manual and the guide on this site - Jpegs RULE - OK !!

Some years ago my MX packed up flashing on a job and I had to use the 'Open Flash' method (luckily it was in a dark school passage way )- it turned out I had taken so many flash photos the contacts were burned out !
