i had a go using my Dodgy Asahi Pentax LX Mk II + SMC Pentax-A 400mm f5.6 lens on tripod and outdated ORWO NP20 film which I processed in a Home-Made 2 bath Formula -- I took OFF THE LX PENTAPRISM tghen quickly FOUND the Eclipse and SNAPPED before I got a HOLE burnt in the shutter OR my EYE !! I set 'Infinity' on the lens Manually BUT it was OUT so all were not sharp .

Punch and Judy is a famous British Puppet show containing lots of Violence, Child Cruelty etc BUT Generations of British Kids have joined in shouting at the well[-known Story -- here is a small set taken on my Asahi Pentax MZ-5 + SMC Pentax-F 35-80mm f4 lens and outdated Fuji Superia 100 processed by Analogue Wonderland who supplied the scratches !

I was invited to attend a Practical Evening at Old Rivals to BRENTWOOD -- HORNCHURCH PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY as a Bloke was coming to show the 'Moving Light Technique' so turned up with Tripod, AC BEAM UC3A compact signalling light that I had been sent to show on my YouTube Channel and my K10D BUT the 'BLOKE' was STUCK FAST on the M25 with no chance to arrive -- luckily I had experience of 'Moving Light Technique' age about 22 when I was a Photographer for the Ministry of Aviation and had to take photos with the 'Whole Plate' Camera on Glass Plates in a Vulcan Bomber with a 2 minute exposure while an army of RIVETORS were at work !

Went to MORES WOODS near BRENTWOOD Essex with some Club Mates one of whom helped carry my Heavy PENTAX 6x7 Mk II outfit ( Thanks, RAY ! ) as at 89 years old now and a huge HERNIA after my Bowel cancer op not so 'steady' == I had 2007 Fuji Superia 100 120 size loaded kept in fridge for years and used 3 lenses and a tripod -- early version.

SO -- I fired up my 2007 PENTAX K10D once again after a long 'rest' due to being Fed Up with the Back Focus Troubles

I tried a Free Gift SIGMA UC Zoom 28-70mm f2.8-4 and set ISO 125 ( like FP4 + film) and some on ISO 400 ( Like HP5+ film) and RAW files which I processed in FastStone Image Viewer--
the Back Focus is shown here -- I focused on the arrow signs but subject BEHIND is SHARPER

The Mk I has a Flat Head Screw and the Mk II and F have the JIS Cross Head Screws -- I got a JIS set of screwdrivers from Tokyo on Amazon years ago it came in a Japanese Newspaper with pics of Geisha Girls on it ! TODAY I went out into the Cold of BRENTWOOD testing the Mk II SMC Takumar all at FULL APERTURE using FP4+ processed in home-made ID II 1+3 dilution so I got the 'Acutance' effects and WoW - it's SHARP even in Dull Winter Light --

SO I was GIVEN an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic II by a Camera Club member who was having a Clear out so now I have the Spotmatic I, II and F cameras to compare The Mk I has the 55mm f1.8 Super Takumar, the Mk II has a 50mm f1.4 SMC Takumar and the F has a later 50mm f1.4 SMC Takumar with a different focus grip style. Having taken off the Base-plates I compared them -- The F looks identical to the Mk I and II so I just took the Mk I and the II base plate photos. The Mk I has NO 'Hot Shoe' and has a Number 23102 engraved on the bottom edge of the base-plate -- not present on Mk II and F .

YO ! Some more GIFTS from a Camera Club member who was having a Clear Out-- one was a Asahi Pentax Spotmatic II + 50mm f1.4 SMC Takumar I loaded with FP4+ rated 125 ASA into Brentwood High Street and processed at 1+3 in home-made ID 11 for 20 mins

Lens is SHARP at f1.4 on initial tests. The SAX Player I used a TT Artisan 100mm f2.8 at f2.8

The SHUTTER was sticking so I took off the base=plate and lubricated cogs and levers ! It is much more COMPLICATED than my Ashai Pentax Spotmatic 1 -- lots MORE Cogs and Levers!

Brentwood High Street is having some Local History event in that all the Infamous COBBLES are being REMOVED and the ANCIENT GAS MAIN replaced so I documented it with my Asahi Pentax SPOTMATIC-F various lenses and outdated Kodak Colorplus 200
