I'm a fan of your photos Tim but I have to agree that this lacks interest. Maybe some prominent foreground ears of (I think) wheat would have added some interest.

Well the M50mm f1.7 isn't bad if you don't mind manual focus and 'green button' metering, very cheap. Next up is an A50mm f1.7 which additionally gets you the usual camera metering modes,

It was only there temporarily, now gone back to it's rightful owner.

I think this is a very special photo indeed, one which I have viewed many times. It is a fascinating shot with a definite surreal quality. The positioning of the elements couldn't be better, every little detail seems just right and the tonal range looks terrific. One of the best photos I have seen on this site.

I'm not surprised, you don't see these very often. Over on PentaxForums owners rate the sharpness on a par with the Ltds. I have one and you will be blown away by this superlative little lens. Possibly the best value for money Pentax lens there is.

OK dreamers, here's the deal. If I win the Euromillions I will run a photo competition here with the top five prizes being a 645D and full set of lenses.

I was last minute outbid on the DA*300. I would have bid a bit more, but I was having a few computer troubles and didn't get to the auction on time. I thought £800 was ambitious (cf: new one at £925 with 2 year warranty) so bid on ebay instead as it was listed there so quickly. With ebay fees taken into account I would have thought ebay a last resort and I would have definitely offered just a little more than the selling price here.

But good luck to the member who outbid me. It's probably a blessing in disguise as there are far more sensible (but dull) priorities for my money.

I think noise is much more tolerable in black and white, which is probably the best option for that horrible baby blue colour. You can get away with very slow shutter speeds for Gareth Barry.

4GB as that is about right for the maximum number of shots I'll take in one go. If I ever go anywhere interesting for any length of time (I have a vague memory of those events, I think they are called holidays) I'll get some 16GB cards. No point in buying extra capacity before I need it though as prices will only ever go down.

I like set of an event and this set is excellent, very good processing choices. The last is my pick too.

I think your intention was obvious and I appreciated the image for what it was. I'm not interested in anyone's political view here either.
