The WG1 may be waterproof, shockproof and animpressivelistofthingsproof but I guarantee it won't be leftunderahedgeinthegardenandforgottenaboutproof.

I got my daughter an Optio50 for a tenner from ebay, not that good but will do the job until it gets lost. It eats normal batteries for breakfast, but works OK with eneloops.

Very good shots of a stunning, otherwordly location. I like the third and in particular the last best, although I find the vignette a tad heavy.

Cracking set, you were lucky with the weather (well actually I suppose it's like that 99% of the time) and used the conditions very well indeed. I admire the skill involved wher you only get one chance to get it right.
