Here's a poll to satisfy my curiosity as to what is the main card size you are currently using.

8gb

I don't see the point in larger unless using video.

I do subscribe to the view that flash is quick BUT can fail at any time. Multiple cards do spread the risk. A twin card reader on all DSLR's would be good.

Mostly 4GB, but recently bought 4 x 8GB PNY cards, they have caused nowt but problems, at times. I take an image, see it on the screen, then once it's processed, i.e. light goes off, the viewfinder messages reads 'CANNOT DISPLAY IMAGE'.

Anyone else had problems with this kinda card?
Cheers

2* 8gb sandisk 20mb/s
2* 8gn slow pny cheapies

95% of the time I'm happy with the above. occasionally I need a bit more speed. Occasionally I need a bit more space, to avoid changing cards.

Pny seem ok, they are class 4 but I use them once in a blue moon.

2gb, and plenty of them. Paranoid about eggs in baskets.

4 backup copies of everything, 1 off-site.

I have 2x16gig cards and 2x8gig all class 10.

The 8gigs are kept in my gf1 and gx10 while one 16gig is in my k5 and another in the bag.

I have on occasions filled the 16gig with still's at a few weddings.. I sometimes shoot some video too.

Mostly 4gig but I have a couple of 8gig too.

Since I download everything every evening, and back that up, I don't need anything bigger.

When digital just started I used to force myself to got out with one of those very tiny 16mb cards which would hold, perhaps 20 shots. I thought the machine-gun approach encouraged by digital would be bad for me after film where one has to be more abstemious and take a considered approach.

I don't now, though.
