Hello everybody. I'm new to this forum and new to Pentax. I finally scraped enough money together to upgrade from my aged Canon G3 (pretty pricey at the time)to a DSLR. I haven't tried out any equipment (yes, I'm possibly mad) but many late nights of research have convinced me to invest in a Pentax. I was attracted by the build quality, the spec for the money, the compatibility of lenses and the enthusiasm of Pentax users from this and similar forums. I found what I think was an exceptional deal on a K20D with 16-45mm, so I snapped it up and I'll be picking it up on Friday. I hope to buy a 55-300mm and I've ordered a couple of 50mm primes from eBay.

I've already found this forum incredibly informative and and I hope to contribute sometime soon.
