Lovely set, possibly the monochrome just shades it for me.

Any advice for storing my spare camera body? I thought the following: lens off - fit body cap; battery out; memory card out. Anything else?

Also, should I take it out of storage occasionally and just fire off a couple of shots to keep the mechanisms loose and moving?

Yet again it shows that it is not the gear but the skill to know how to use

All of the above - and the standard advice when skiing, don't stop in the middle of the piste to take a picture, move to the edge and keep at least half an eye for who/what is coming down the piste from above you. Also don't stand where someone, and sadly all too often it's the small percentage of unthinking boarders, might jump onto the piste.

Interesting idea - I'd definitely try to clone out the buoy, and can you recover some more detail in the almost blown highlights?

What an excellent set! I'not going to nominate my 'favourite' as it would change according to my mood!

Best wishes

Welcome, I'm sure that you'll enjoy the K5ii.

Both nice, but I prefer the colour version at the moment.

I think the B&W needs a bit more structure and/or a bit more contrast, particularly in the grass. I suspect there's a cracking B&W in there, but for me the current conversion needs a bit of "tweaking".
