No. 3 is a bit hackneyed, but it works as a certain style of image, so it's OK for me. Neither 1 or 2 work for me as they are. No. 1 isn't quite fast enough to freeze the water droplets effectively. No.2 isn't quite slow enough to look like a 'considered' choice, it looks (to me) like an accident; so I would prefer it to be a little slower.

So, I would go for No. 3 if you want the 'water veil' effect, or go a bit faster than no. 1 to freeze the motion. But, I don't think that there is a right or a wrong, just a matter of choice and/or preference.

A few Irises from a neighbour's garden. The first taken just using available light and the 2nd with an on-camera flash fitted with a small softbox. The 3rd is a re-treatment of the 2nd using the 'Posterise' feature in PS Elements 2020, All other processing in Lightroom. All were shot using my Tamron SP90 F2.8 Macro 1:1 Di on K-5iiS.

#1 for me as well, although #5 has got something special about it for me as well. All of the seascapes and the reeds work well, but the Swans need a little more work. I suspect that it they were more abstract you might get something. Definitely worth pursuing.

An excellent 'comeback'. Hard to fault any of them but I think the sleepy dog won the prize.

Lovely set. Like shot of the MV - a 675 World Supersport bike? Who's is the signature?

I agree with both of the above comments, but would like to see a version with a little taken off the bottom - say up to where the lighter concrete meets the right hand side of the frame. IMHO that would make the weed a little more prominent in the image which would make the whole even stronger.
