Love the "hand thru table" shot.
I too recently and very fortuitously came by one of these lenses and I can see what all the fuss is about, it is epic.

I had the K-7 and the FA 50 f1.4 was almost impossible to use on it as it would vary wildly on the AF adjustment so the lens could not be used for anything wider than f8 and most of my lenses required an adjustment of some kind.
However, I have recently bought a K-5iis and it is smack on with every single lens I own.
As for John's comment earlier I cannot believe he has never had to adjust a lens unless everything has been shot at small apertures.

Sorry Algi, I can't make it out either, this is moire and there is no evidence of it in Dave's photos.
If I open the original and zoom in the moire changes it's pattern and at no point does it go away. I think what you are seeing is the compression artifacts.

Well said David, I have now taken a couple of thousand photos and had one that showed moire and I think that would have shown whatever camera I was using. The thread is on here somewhere called "I got moire"

Not in LR Algi, you simply copy the settings to all photos, brilliant tool.

As davd said there are focus issues with the k-5. The problem is if the the k-5 consistantly misfocuses how do you know you are setti g the focus correctly.

All my lenses needed correction on the k-5 yet on the mkii none needed adjustment leaving me to the same conclusion as David and that the lenses are possibly not at fault...
Same for me except I had the K-7. I had wildly differing AF adjustment settings for all my lenses and my FA50 f1.4 would never be the same from adjustment to adjustment. However with the K-5iis every lens I have now focuses spot on every time.

A price would help potential buyers?

If it is the fixed f2.8 version then for £50 it is a steal!
