This was at 70mm f4 ISO400 and 120 seconds, two full minutes without star trails. Awesome 8)

If you're not using the Astrotraceer function, you really should give it a go. Having the ability to record a single exposure of 120 seconds at ISO as low as 800 and the ability to stop your lens down to its sweet spot, this was f5.6 and all at 24mm is simple staggering. Then to end up with an image as sharp as this 8) Admittedly to get the foreground sharp a second image is required using the same settings and simply merged in post.

Check out SRS Microsystems, they have them brand new for £999

The newest Pentax flash will work with the AD200 as it turns out because it can be programmed to wireless and a channel number :D
Godox
Posted in Flash Photography
the godox system is proprietary radio signals. they do make a trigger and a small tt350p flash unit both of which will fire your ad200 with full hs ttl for pentax. if you already have the ad200, check for firmware updates and buy the tt350p flash becuase it DOES work as a both a on camera flash and a controller for the ad200 if you can't afford both a second flash and a transmitter ;) this does NOT fire the pentax units in P-ttl which is controlled by pre-flash. you CAN use them all together in manual mode or A mode though as the optical slaves on the pentax will fire when they see the godox units fire.... for the record, I ditched the pentax flash units... once I bought Godox to use with my sony a7iii and realized how much better the new godox flash units were, I opted to simply add a tt350p to my pentax as a controller becuase the tt350p acts as controller on the pentax but STILL works with the sony trigger and the rest of the flash units in the godox system.... on both cameras. :)Awesome, Thanks Don. That's set my mind at ease :D Just one question, if i trigger one of the flashes will they all fire? I want to be able to walk around a large room with a flash in my hand and fire off the flashes from different places but with the camera in the same place, so I can balance the light in a large room.

Hi, Does anyone know if the Godox system will trigger a Pentax brand flash? af-540fgz & af-540fgzii and could I use the AD200 alongside these flashes? Thanks.

Try WiFi Commander for Pentax. Works a treat, simply by connecting to the camera via its WiFi

Pretty good. But there is no need to use the lens wide open and have huge ISO with the Astrotracer. Stop your lens down to f4 or even 5.6 and there's no need to go above ISO 800. Also at 200mm you should get 60 seconds at least with no star trails.

I tried to upload the 5 images again after the above post at 15:10. I've left it going and it's still publishing; it's nearly 17:00
K3II Intermittent Overexposure Issue
Posted in Troubleshooter
I had a very similar issue when panning at what was my local kart track. The first image would be fine (I was on fast multi shoot to ensure I got at least one sharp in the sequence) but as the pan progressed so each shot would get brighter. I sent the lens to the new defunct company for repair, they said they couldn't fix it and sent it to France. A few weeks later I received the camera back and I'm convinced they took the base off my camera and put it on a brand new body so I had the same serial number. It worked flawlessly after that.

Painfully slow. First I tried to look at the 21 comments on one of my images, 15 minutes later I gave up. Then later I tried uploading just 5 images and three of them failed, clicked retry and 1 failed, clicked retry and all were ready so then I click Upload and it did the usual jump to about 75% but then sat there for over half an hour before I again gave up. Not convinced the switch to SmugMug is looking particularly a good one :( AND they've doubled the price! There's an old saying ... if it ain't broke don't fix it. Flickr used to be superb.
