Like this very much Philip, right up my alley.

Just a minor niggle - a small rotation anticlockwise, please, to make the corner of the walls vertical.
Seems like a case of choosing between a vertical wall or a vertical right side of the cabinet?

Great feeling to these Gareth, especially the more contrasty ones. 4 is the special one for me - love the well-seperated silhouettes (all the lonely people...) lost in the greyness of it all. Ah yes, and the beautiful grain in the sky!

Hello all, been a while - low inspiration on the photography front I'm afraid these past few months. I've been playing around with different ideas but things are eluding me... Ah well, here are a few from this past summer in Rochefort. Thoughts are welcome!

I'll join in on the collective praise for #1 - very well seen indeed.

I love this kind of experimentation Gareth - getting away from hardcore reality is always welcome in my book. 2 & 5 work particularly well for me, especially 5.

I prefer the horizontal scapes to the portrait ones, I feel there's much more to take in and explore. All vibrantly bold though, and the saturation (vs the poppies) seems to work for me here. Yellows are easier on the eye than reds, I gather.

Indeed! And my own favorite is 4, lovely and lively character to it Gareth. I'm not a colour expert, nor do I have a calibrated screen, but does the complete set seem a bit oversaturated to me? Then again, poppy red certainly commands attention, and it might just be a matter of taste regarding the representation thereof...

The underlining of the sun in the clouds makes the image for me. It also works well cropped to the bottom half, with just the lantern against the silhouetted townscape and the orange sky.
