Lovely subjects Steve, I like Ivy in particular, for the composition. I wonder if there's any way to pull a little more light out of those petals, for contrast, or perhaps go the other direction and pull it all way back for mystery? Then again, it's fine as is, it just seems it could go different ways, all of them interesting.

Hang in there Gareth, hoping you get better soon.

A wonderful place for a photographer, I'm sure, John. 4 is beautiful for the grassy foreground acting as a makeshift sea, and 5 for the castle and the land on which it stands rising from the waters like a submarine...

Thanks Kris, LennyB, Kevin. I definitely have two minds going on at the same time in museums - one for taking in the art itself, and one for photography. That one certainly thrives on all the 'obstacles' and 'distracting' backgrounds.

And I agree with both of the above.

Lovely Nigel, those long exposures make it seem like the water is lit from underneath, which contrasts beautifully with the farther away artificial lighting (working especially well in their subtler presence in 2, 3 and 4 - for me).

Flying to the moon for me, Chris, a fine photo indeed.

An enjoyable set LennyB, good work on the b+w's. But 'grassy gradient' is the pick of the lot for me, with all sorts of patterns and perceived movement going on, and a beautiful camaieu of beige and reddish browns.

Much appreciated Peter (although I do wonder if Rio hasn't usurped your account ).
