My how time flies, sorry for not popping in of late... I see I have much catching up to do on the photo browsing front here. Will do! 67 shots... I wouldn't have the patience, but I certainly understand why you do whenever I see your results. Sharp and detailed, yes, but it's all there to bring out the character of your subjects. Wonderful portrait once again.

Dark and grim indeed, Steve, and quite compelling. The tangled webbing and the torn wing - are they what drew you to the darker side? - really bring home the eeriness. Lovely processing.

We can all relate to that, I'm sure! Just yesterday I spent a few hours with my musical partner trying to figure out how to better a part of a song we recorded recently. I agree with Nigel above, there is a wonderful crop or two lurking below the top of the photo, allowing the eye and mind to wander down that hole at the end of the path. Beautifully processed, LennyB.Mentally cropping the image to show the bottom half means I imagine the light source to be the moon or a street lamp out of sight. Either way, along with the high contrast finish, it gives a slight eerie feel. I like that !

Lovely all, but something special about 8 & 9... Perhaps the idea that styles and such allow free passage (well, not for livestock) despite the fencing in of land.

#1 all the way for me Gareth. The off-center lights are very dynamic and my eye just sweeps in (through the bench) and out (with the lights) of the image in a neverending movement, giving a wonderful sense of depth and of being there.
