You haven't exactly broken the most important rule Kris...... ... creating a lovely image
Exactly!

The first image stands out for me, Chris, thanks to the contrast between the complex lines in that hall and the dress's flowing train.

Very nice colours in the first, and a lovely quiet mood, Rob. The two church/graveyard images work quite well for me, cropped spire included. As a matter of fact, I prefer that one, with the tombstones more alive, so to speak, than the spire lost in the fog.

Some very nice images in there, LennyB, and plenty of different moods. The lilypond and sandcliffs have a special appeal in their respective camaïeux of green and beige. The tree on the heath is quite gracious, seems to be on fire in that beautiful light, contrasting with the monochrome starkness of the cliff-top trees further down.
And the squirrel. Gotta love that silhouette.

Sorry Serge - no interiors this time, the social distance was done so well that I didn't feel inclined to encroach on the "bubbles" of others.
Quite understandable, under the circumstances.

It would be good to see a few opinions here... a little fizz and pizazz...
Works well on the second image, but the cursors have been pushed a bit far on the first, for my taste.

Almost like being there, Gareth. Another heads up for 4 & 5.

You're the master of monochrome! Always like your mono's, they look so clean

That opening image
I wonder if you need that bottom bit that looks like a doorway or if you could bring the shadows in to fill it in?

3 and 5 also
Master! Well now, let's not get carried away Gareth! Funny thing about cleanliness, I'm in the habit of often underexposing more than necessary, as I feel there's always a slight gritiness that appears (to my satisfaction) as I pull the shadows up in post-processing. Maybe my imagination at work? Regarding the doorway, I actually wonder if I should maybe lighten it up a bit to make that escape route more visible.
Thank you very much for your kind words.

Thank you all for your thoughts and comments, they are much appreciated. 'Breaking the rules' ... I suppose I do, in a way, but that is not how I understand it. I feel, rather, that I am often guided into a photographic session's own set of rules - and am quite happy to abide, as they help me see beyond, below, through, aside and, at the best of times, askance. Which are all my favoured means of looking at the world that surrounds us (and trying to make some sense of it). So yes, your comments are all spot on.

There's something particularly interesting in the colours of 4, and the curvy shapes of the trunks. And I agree the background of 2 works quite well - is that fogginess due to flare?

Yes, very nice indeed. The spooked deer make a cracker of an image.
