Slik 88 in the car, perfectly good and less than £30 off the ebay.
Carbon fibre in the house, as its too good to go out much.

Here is one of my favourite images of the year so far. It was taken here, http://www.butterflyhouse.co.uk/ I was very surprised to see the enclosure in the corner of the butterfly house. It was behind thick perspex and very hot and humid. Taken with the Sigma 105 macro at 1000ISO and 1/50th sec.

I've seen large salt water crocs in Kakadu Northern Territory Australia, while fishing for Barramundi.
I do not recommend getting too close!
Kindest regards,
Peter
Hmmmmmm ! I`ll tell you what Ted - some years back I thought those Photosniper rifle grips were pretty cool - I`m bl**dy glad I didn`t get one now in today`s climate - I`d probably get tasered and blow the electrics on the K20D..................................
Tony ( gave the camouflage combat pants to Oxfam too )
But if the " meat and two veg" department gets a direct hit, then it could leave a few problems.

Peter.

I owned a Nikon FM, my second camera, the first being a Pentax MX. I preferred the size of the Nikon to the MX. I think I bought one in the year Nikon changed the shutter mechanism from what I've been told. The Nikon gave me nothing but trouble, sent for repair 4 times under warranty, I went back to the MX after that. I considered buying a Nikon D200 at one point, but all that changed with the arrival of the K10D and K20D models, I already had a large selection of Pentax lenses. I just wish Pentax would produce some longer glass 400/5.6 or 100-400mm etc.
Regards,
John
I have often wondered the same thing, it seems that Pentax are stuck at 300mm.
I have a DA 18-55mm II version, and a DA 55-300mm.
Both are good lenses, but it seems one must go to a "BIG MA" if a longer focal length is desired!

Peter.
This is a site for "Pentax Users", and if it is going to survive and be successful, then it's up to us to make it happen!
We all need to contribute something, be it a phototograph in the gallery, or a piece of advice, or a comment on an issue.
I enjoy my K20D, and this site, long may they both survive!
Kindest regards,
Peter.

What views, insight, or opinions do Pentax Users have?
What do we want included in the new website?
I'm interested to know.

Hello, one of our members has been on the phone, they have an optio S50 which has randomly decided it has a "Memory Card Error". They have tried different cards at different sizes and still get the same error. My guess is that the camera is broke sadly, anyone have any other ideas what might be wrong?
Many Thanks
Dan
Card is write protected?
New Battery?
Card formatted in Camera?
If all else fails get repair estimate from Pentax!

When I met my other half I had a Lexus. Whilst we were dating I had a Jaguar and a Mercedes SL.
Now we're together she has an Audi A6 and I'm driving a people carrier! I think I'm having my mid-life crisis in reverse.
PS. A Ford is a Ford, whether a Fiesta or a Mustang, Even the Jaguar is part of Ford now!
So long live Detroit Heavy Metal, and even Jamie Oliver's wife drives a Mustang!
A Pentax fan since Program A and Super A, and MZ7 days, now happy with my K20D.
Kindest regards,
Peter.
