I next tried to get a second hand Super A, but had to settle for a P30.
Then a Super A came along and so I swapped it for the P30 plus a couple of quid.
The Super A turned out to have cracked housing at the lens mount, so I took it to Pentax, who were then at South Harrow, just around the corner from the tube an easy commute.
Upon being told the camera was repaired and ready, I arrived to collect it.
But oh dear the wrong rewind crank had been fitted, it was too short and would not reach the film cassette, and I could not mount either my Takuma 28mm or my zoom lens!
So again I went back to Pentax.
After asking to see the service manager, and after profuse apologies from Pentax, my camera was returned to me by courier, along with a large box of Kodak Gold as a sorry.
I then made a big mistake, and swapped my cameras and lenses, and my Gaurdsman bag in for an MZ7.
I also bought the FA 28-80mm and the FA 80-320mm.
The MZ7 failed me when I needed it most, during a trip to Australia.
I still have the MZ7, as it's an uneconomical repair, and the FA lenses are still in my bag.
I subsequently purchased the K20D, DA18-55mmII, and the DA 55-30mm.
I'm still with Pentax, so I'm keeping the faith Lol

It's an attractive range and the WR is a useful feature. If it is better than the 18-250mm then it's absolutely good enough. The 18-250mm is not at all a poor lens.
When are we going to see an in depth review of the 18-35mm WR?
Possibly by your good self?
Kindest regards,
Peter.
I team it up with my K20D, and it's sharp, and has given me some great shots.
Kindest regards,
Peter

I got a 35mm 2.4, some memory cards!
That should go good with my photography!
I also got a wine making kit!
That should go great with my other hobbies... drinking and falling down!

My Jewell aquarium is on order.
A new all leather "managers" chair to be purchased.
And a new Makita Limited edition 18V drill is now in my garage.
Now if some one would buy me the new Pentax 18-135mm lens I would be overjoyed, lol any offers?

Love it
It does seem to chill the beer better than the fridge....

It's a tad too cold outside for my Grolsch, so I always keep a couple in the fridge door.
Cheers, Merry Christmas.

Hi all,
I just got my order through for my new K-5 with the Battery Grip from SRS.
BUT, what a disaster in the first place!
My Tax Return Cheque Cleared and I put my money on the account that I use for Internet purposes only. So I paid a couple of bills and for my AZ 360 Flash from 'incognitox' and then I ordered my new K-5 from SRS.
Come to payment I give them my card number and it was promptly declined!
Halifax blocked my card!
Got a call back from SRS to inform me of the declined payment.
Now the running begun. Halifax called me to confirm the payments which I duly did. Result, card blocked
It took over 2h of calls and begging till eventually someone was able to 'unblock' my card, but only after I threatened them about compensation for lost work etc.
Now my K-5 is on its way and with a bit of luck I will have it tomorrow.
What was the excuse from Halifax? No-one in the Scotland Office could free up my card as they where all send home because of the weather.
Well, how nice. But no contingency plans for someone to help me and I had to beg my way through and at the end it was the automated system that un-blocked my card again
All sympathy with people not being able to get to work etc but there should be something in place that should the unexpected, everything that happen can still be dealt with.
If my system goes down I got several back-ups and a second system should the hardware develop a fault, so if I can do back up and contingency so I don't loose or any of my pictures that I may have taken for customers can not get deleted and I always can fall back on a backup for whatever (I even hot a generator and a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) as well as a couple of Gas Heaters with a couple of bottles just in case, so why can not a multi million bank have a back up system just in case one office becomes inoperable for whatever reason?????
I pay them for looking after my money and their fat bonuses but I can not pay with my money something I even phoned in for a couple of days ago so they where aware of this going out.
Rant over, THANK YOU SRS for sticking with me and having it still send out today for next day delivery (unless we get another 'light' dusting of snow and everything collapses again because of this. Not even mail today and the streets here are free with the rest lightly dusted).
Now just looking forward to my K-5 tomorrow and a bottle of wine tonight.
We have always used first direct, and they have been excellent we can't praise them enough.
Even received an e mail from them this morning, saying how sorry they are for any delays or disruptions to their service, and that they have now taken the steps needed to resume full service.
That's what I call customer relations.
I'd take an account out with them mate, and give Halifax the heave ho like asap!
Kindest regards,
Peter.

I have a K20D, and my 16gb card is a Dane Elec.
I've had no probs with it, and would advise you to look at The 7 Day Shop, as their prices are very cheap, (being in the Channel islands they are tax free and delivery is free.)
