do you mean when used on a 35mm camera (as originally intended), or when used on an APS-C DSLR such as the K20D?

I calibrate my screen with a Huey and ArgyllCMS (under Linux I have no option to use the original software, so Argyll it is. Seems to work).

Since I became concerned that my colours were wrong, I have done two things to correct the problem:

1. Bought a Huey and used it
2. Bought a PVA based monitor

If I could afford to do one of the above but not both, I'd take the monitor every time. The Huey basically just made my old TN panel even worse, everything on screen looked green and the prints came out magenta. The PVA panel (an HP 1955) is darned near spot on out of the box, with the only obvious change on calibrating being to drop the brightness a little. Compared to prints off my HP printer or from Dlab7, the HP screen looks a little bright as you might expect from a backlit medium but is otherwise spot on. It is the single best piece of photography equipment I have bought since I got my first DSLR.

$950 for a lens with fungus? I know he says he's killed it, he may even believe that, but I wouldn't take that gamble.

there's something about opening a packet of photos fresh from the lab which we have lost with Digital. Still, I wouldn't trade all the advantages of my K10D for that, if I want that feeling I still have an ME-F and many rolls of film....

AMD CPU's have supported SSE2 since the Athlon64 and SSE3 since mid way through the A64's run. Current Phenoms support SSE4

does this mean they've started making 50 1.4s again?

Or is anyone else feeling slightly confused because the new Pentax K-7 seems unlikely to have a standard Socket A pin layout, while my AMD Athlon K7 CPU wont take pictures......

just me?

thought so.

modern surveying Total Stations have very precise electronic levels, not sure how much physical space within the instrument they take up though as even a compact Total Station like the Leica TCR 307 or Pentax R300 is considerably larger than a K-7.
