Well worth the money.
Comparable Nikon / Canon ones are nearly £300 and imo not as sharp.
The only "True" bargain you will get in photography nowdays.
Does SRS not have any in stock?

Craig, cheers for that.
I like to support local camera shops if I can, does mean a car journey though.They have a 70-300 Sigma non APO- would this lens give me reasonable IQ ?

Chris the 70-300mm is a very cheap budget lens so do not expect anything great from it.
I think SRS do the 55-300mm Pentax @ £200 (maybe a bit more than your budget) but it knocks spots off the Sigma Non Apo.
The sigma APO is a lot better but still not as good as the Pentax.
And seriously give SRS a call, you wont find a better bunch of people to deal with.

Cheers for all your advice.
Also wanted to drive to a shop to trade in some kit that I had, I do however respect your comments and advice about SRS.
I am now the proud owner of an FA50mm.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago - at £155 from SRS, it's a great lens and now I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself!

Despite the huge price hike on this lens, is it worth the money?
Phoned LCE and quoted £209.!!!
My nearest shop have quoted me £179
Before I get in my car and head off, good lens????
