Well I'm just home from the show. Liked the Pentax stand and enjoyed my play with the 645D,

Came home with a K-5 and a nice little k mount/M42 adaptor from the SRB stand.

I'm down on Wednesday and if the K-5 is there for £879 then one will be coming home with me.

Cheers again folks.

The Inn looks good - But its £40+ a night. I'll be on the move before dawn. Easier to park up nearby and spend the cash on a bit of a meal and a small bottle of beer.

Been playing with another shot from the trip. Still trying mono as I really like it but just need to work out how best to do it. Still on square crops. Not sure if I should cut this one down a bit but really like the sky.

I like the light on the middle ground trees in No4 and I like the impact of the opening shot.

I like the angle of the second one in the series. I think the fact that it doesn't seem to have regular angles is helped by the different angle of the shot.

Impressive - going to the show on Wednesday. Hopefully prices will be extremely high for any kit.

Cheers folks - 13 months now Dave but I've been completely hooked since the day the K-X arrived and still taking a couple of thousand images a month. I'm particularly lucky that I live so close to some beautiful countryside and that work are very easy about how and when I do my hours. I was also very lucky with the conditions on the trip up to Scotland and I think that makes a huge difference.

I'll have another play with No4 - it was edited using Lightroom (we had a bit of tuiton on it at the workshop) and that was done using one of the presets and I just liked it. The first one is probably my favourite from the trip - taken just as a big squall was coming in and only just about avoided blowing the highlights on a 150 second exposure.

Cheers folks - it was a very enjoyable day out and we got lucky with the conditions.

You are using a Pentax camera, aren't you?
One of the other guys was using a Canon 7D which was a really lovely bit of kit and the guy taking the workshop had a 5D mk2. All it did was make me decide that the next purchase will be a K-5 instead of a new lens. All the shots were taken with the Sigma 10-20 by the way.
