Cheers for that - I'll give him a shout. I don't really want to sell the K-5 as I have some fond memories of it and took some of my favourite shots. If I can convert it I can keep it. What Pentax lenses do you use for IR?

They were the first I contacted about 6 months ago and they said they couldn't do the K-5. Not sure of the reason why.

Morning folks - I still have a K-5 here and a DA*16-50 lens and wondered about IR conversion. Tried the usual spots but the K-5 doesn't appear anywhere on the list of possible cameras. I tried looking on here but as you might imagine the phrase "IR" doesn't work too well in a search box. Any suggestions?

I love Pentax but I also love full frame David. I'd never have changed if they had something in between the K-3 and the 645. The big camera is just out of reach. I do intend to buy a wee Ricoh GR in the next week or two though

Cheers Alan - managed to get another three in the book as well with two Highly Commended and one Commended. One of the Highly Commendeds was an old Pentax favourite. K-5 and DA70

Might be too late with this but water or hills? Hills are more reliable and you have a wee bit of choice without going too far.

I broke my DA*60-250 ages ago and thought it would cost me a fortune to repair so I didn't. It was only £60 in the end. Took it out the last couple of days just to test it out but it seems as sharp as always. Lovely lens and a very handy addition to the rest of my stuff.
