This image was taken at the bottom of the Baltic Flower Mill Art Gallery stairwell during a wander around the Gateshead quayside. It is my first real outing with my new Sigma 10-20 lens.

Nice, I like that, do you remember that old film with David Bowie called labyrinth.........

A strange film but very compelling cinematography

This would have even more impact with a square crop IMO, to give greater focus to the stair-well?

I think 10x8 as the stairwell is not square.

Nice shot!

Nice shot!

Two versions to try , I will give both a go and upload them, although it may take a few days due to the builders descending on my house tomorrow

This is the same shot but cropped as suggested by Tyr & I-Berg, more feedback is welcome

I like the angle of the second one in the series. I think the fact that it doesn't seem to have regular angles is helped by the different angle of the shot.

I like 'Baltic III' the best. Although it's a fraction Dark.

All the others need PPing to give them some depth IMO

Baltic III has depth. which could be enhanced by lightening the foreground edges a tad.

In terms of composition, the angled version entitled "And this is the second one in the series" is by far the best IMHO

Thanks Smeggy

I will re work this and see how it comes out, I did consider using colour popping on this image as the right hand wall is bright pink.

The two new ones are good. The angle on the new show means you don't need to worry so much about crop. The last is a tad dark but still very good.

I have increased the brightness on Baltic III as suggested, any comments or still too dark?
