If it's anywhere near as good as their 14mm f/2.8 it'll be a stunner

Yeah, I had been wondering what happened to the K6?
Follows a long Pentax tradition, KX, MX, LX eh

A bit of speculation the next one is the K-3 followed by K-1 top of the range and then that's it, like the Z1-p never got updated

John
The Z1-P was the update to the Z1.

G
Correct, but we never got any further than the update to an old design for 6 years until the MZ-S in 2001

24mm is a great street / general walkaround length. I really like my sigma f2.8 superwide, really sharp right from the widest aperture so it's effectively quite fast. I always enjoy using it. It does great close ups too.
I'm right with you there, great lens even wide open and no bigger or heavier than a standard 50mm lens. I like them so much I have two One MF and one AF.

"Pentax 1.7 af, gives auto focus at most apertures, supports SDM"

My understanding is it reverts to screwdrive AF?!

Really must try the DA15mm Ltd for the one lens thing sometime

Regularly go out with just one prime, it's often the Sigma 24mm because it'll do 1:4 at it's closest focusing distance as well as being a good walkabout lens, I always liked 35mm with film. Last time I went with the Tamron 90mm and came back with a shot of a Robin But the most often single prime adventure is with the DA*300
