Not much point in Buy it Now when the starting bid is 99p without a reserve either.

what is the difference between a pentax as per the ebay link and the same thing badged as jessops that i won for £65. looks identical and does the same thing allowing AF to pass through
It would help if you could supply some details of the Jessop one?
We seem to be a bit thin on mind readers here at present

Is it a 2x, 1.7x or 1.4x for instance?
A photo of it would probably allow someone to identify the original
maker.... it certainly wasn't Jessops.
It'll be a Teleplus/kenko clone re-badged

If the new AF system is as good as they claim it is I'd be quite happy to continue using the present SDM lenses. I don't really have an issue with the speed of the lenses, I think it's the body AF system that needs updating, hopefully they've made some improvements.

hmmm? It would have to be quick then. The AF-C on my K10 and K20 are no where near fast enough to track moving objects properly with any of my lenses
I recently used the K10 + DA*60-250 to photograph Battle of Britain Spitfire/Hurricane display. I was using multi-focus point and AFC and it worked perfectly.
Works perfectly here too, air shows, Red Kites, Express steam locomotives coming straight at me 3/4 on, nails them all if I do my bit.

I can't see why anyone would change system for the D7000, especially considering the K5 will be (regardless of hype either way) pretty-much exactly the same. For a FF or MF camera, or even a Mirrorless, yes fine, that's offering you something significantly different, and will mean you can take different (not necessarily better...) photographs. But a D7000 instead of a K5? That's just a silly "grass is greener on the other side" false move, that human nature (particularly on the internet) seems susceptable to...
There's a better upgrade path in particular with longer fast lenses and faster AF, you just have to get on the ladder and start building a new system. It's not about to happen in the next couple of months, I'll be waiting to see how things turn out with regard to the K5, the Canon 7D is of interest too

It's the thought of starting all over, my kit's pretty comprehensive, but there again the lenses should fetch good money but it's a lot of Ebaying

Hope it's priced competitively against the d7000.
It'll need to be, I'm getting tempted especially with support for older lenses, AIS etc.
