Like the pulling out, lucky you had so few people really. as for getting rid of them you could use the cloning tool as there is plenty of space all around each person. would take about half an hour or so.

but I would also step up the brightness and contrast a tad on them all too. the name plate is lovely but IMO needs a little extra saturation to get that green really shining

I could have used the flash, even though I have a cheap make speed light http://www.linkdelight.com/E4M-GODOX-TT520-Speedlite-ThinkLite-Electronic-Flash-... there are about 7 levels of flash intensity. I think the light on the left is the wall so i could have even bounced the flash. I dunno!

I have never tried the delated flash technique, even though I understand they use it in sports photography. Will have a go trying that.

Well had a reply from the App Designer, they said they have nothing in the pipeline for such an app, but for a fee they would design one for me that i could then do with as I wished, the price though depended on how long it took to design starting at £2500 a week.

oh well If money was no object I could see a profit there eventually.

my rule of thumb is if a subject is strong enough to stand on its own ignore the thirds. but I always take double my shots one as I want it and one by the book just in case>

I know the thistle isn't very appealing as is. But it was the colour that hit me. The plan was to use it as inspiration for an abstract painting. Which I have not got around to but have played about on photoshop to give you an idea. Now the intention would be to paint this on a massive scale around 6 foot wide and about 4 foot high. when you look at it on a small scale you can still see the resemblence to a thistle or at least a flower of some sort, but on the larger scale it is harder for the brain to associate all the colour to a specific recognisable shape. I do this lots, most of my inspiration comes from whats around me that is just taken for granted. Take mozzy, I don't know if you noticed but its an upside down moped that i found dumped in the woods, the noise they make as kids run them up and down the streets gave me the idea for the final sculpture.

anyway back to the thistle here is a quick 5 min play on photoshop to give you an idea of how the painting could look.

Thanks peeps. I couldn't tell you about the flash as i am clueless. but i get the slow shutter with flash at the end.
