This must be a rather nice and cool camera!

Seems to work (the pin does move around), came with a mint SMC Takumar 1.8 55mm lens and with a Pentax "10 Million" strap with an Ever Ready case. These were a total surprise when I opened up the box.......

Felt like sharing! The guy was selling three of these with this one having heavy brassing at the cormers, but which I think is rather nice actually...... Just need to get the test film run through.

For some reason there are quite a few of these getting put up for sale......

I like it! Though I don't use my ME Super that much..... Like the plan of using the 40mm pancake!

Yes, the distance that the subject is in focus, which presumably is where you are!
I would hope so! It does have a f-stop/distance calculator on the back of the flash so I've done a couple of indoor shots and will have to wait and see how it turns out!

Cheers!

Now, if using the scale on the lens, I presume that the distance to read off is the distance at which the subject is in focus?

One thing i've never had is a flash unit so could possibly be interesting.....!

Hello,

Just received one of these off ebay in perfect conditon with case and manual too! Have got it to partner my Spotmatic F cameras. Id it is utterly useless it doesn't matter, it was only £2.40 and looks very cool on top of a Spotmatic!

Now I have virtually no knowledge or experience of flash photography so was wondering if any one of the film guys has seen or used this flash before what sort of thing I can expect and the limitations?

I have tested it and it does work! Pretty bright as well........

How about the Super A/Program A? My black Super A doesn't feel mettalic, though is heavy enough?

Should be promising. Keeping the K mount and an individual brand prescence is important. Pentax being owned by a camera specialist company should indicate some interesting R and D in the future?

Not that I'm likely to be able to afford anything new for the next few years anyway!!

I'm optimistic.

I have a K200D that I've owned since new and have got a lot of very good images from it. Only issue is that I seem to get loads of dust no matter what I do....... Lens changing in my house is a no-no I think... Full weather sealing at the price point is a good plus though.

Haven't used it much since I've been mainly film this year......

I have a recently purchased MZ7 and think it is very decent for the money they go for. Would like an autofocus prime (much to expensive!!!) but the 28-80mm zoom is surprisingly good. Even when using really, really cheap film!

I like film mainly because I like the cameras. Still shoot with my Pentax Dslr but on the last trip to Scotland did most of my walkaround with a brace of film cameras (35mm) and a 1927 Voigtlander Brilliant........

Yep, film does cost but cheap film has a look I do like, started using some Kodak Colorplus that everyone says is rubbish but I liked the results out of my Spotmatic F.

It's about using the old cameras as I think the Spotmatic for example is just a wonderful thing it deserves the use.
