Just had a look at mine. I don't think it is possible to do what you want. It certainly doesn't auto update when you change something! Just tried..... have to press the info button again.

Don't know if this can be changed, I usually go handheld and just adjust the basics..........

Hi,

Lightroom will be an excellent choice for your images.

A vacuum cleaner would be a better option for your house.
I very gently applied a glasses cleaning cloth to the sensor last night and hopefully got the two really annoying bits of dust out of the way!

The house just seems to breed dust very quickly.....

Hi,

Have the opportunity if I wish to purchase this software in the Student Edition...... Seeing as I am once again a student...

I'm currently using Picassa and while it is ok, the editing is pretty poor I think. Especially when trying to remove dust spots. Unfortunately I think my house is just too dusty for my Dslr to not have plenty of these over the sensor. Sadly.

My main interest is how good the touch up tools are and if it has any automated tool to remove dust? I may have imagined that this type of tool exists?

It's very impressive. For such a small camera. I would imagine the impact of using prime lenses is helping a great deal. FWIW I think it's plenty good enough to complement a DSLR.

Also I think build quality should not be sniffed at, it looks solid and well put together and effective controls too. I get annoyed with normal compacts! I had an old 5mp Samsung that gave perfectly acceptable results and much better than my newer Samsung compact. Dunno what that means but just the specsheet doesn't always give the actual story.....

There's too much pixel peeping. I like cameras with a feel of their own which hopefully this will have. Toy lenses? I say creative tools! Not that I can afford to even think about any more gear.......

It's different. And how I envisaged what the whole small, IL type of thing should be. Small. And the controls are like a DSLR! Win!

I kept getting told my K200D is rubbish, and all the internet said it was at best average. And hey, to me it's a great little camera! I think the Q really needs to be used out in the wild before any real conclusions can be formed.

Getting a bit repetitive now. How about this - if you don't like the Q, don't buy one. Simples. There's no need to keep pasting the same comments whenever people are discussing the Q. We all know where you stand ;P
This.

If it's even remotely decent in image quality it seems a good concept. Type of thing I would quite like actually to go with the dslr.

Was in a large out of electronics retailer having a scooby at the various cameras they had there and when comparing the Kr to the Olumpus EPL1 and the Panasonic G3, there's not a lot in it really size wise at all.....

I'm aiming to save up for a small digital (slr or mirrorless) to complement my film cameras as the K200D does take a lot of space up in the bag and is fairly heavy. I was thinking the mirrorless or M4/3 cameras but after handling, they are really not much better than the Kr. No power in the batteries though.....

On an ancillary note, having never handled a Canon Dslr I was very surprised how cheap the EOS 1000 etc feel..... Plasticy!!! The VR Nikon lenses are HUGE!! Was quite shocked, if that is what lens image stabilisation means, I am rather happy with Pentaxes solution in body! The only DSLR I have ever used is my K200D and I never really looked about too much so it's eye opening for me.

The only kit I've bought new was my K200D and the 18-55mm WR and 50-200mm WR DA lenses...... More to do with being a Postgraduate student than anything else really though. If I had the ready cash I'd have a K5 in a shot.

Everything else Pentax has been old film kit and second hand!!!
