Yes, and it's actually not that bad. For a 400ASA film the grain is suprisingly fine and the colours are quite nice. This was shot using it a couple of months back on my Spotmatic:

Try gently nudging the mirror into either a fully up or fully down position, see if that will release whatever is stuck.

Be carefuk though to avoid touching the silvered surface as it's very delicate (and thin!). If you don't have long fingernails then a pair of tweezers, jeweller's screwdriver or cocktail stick should be employed.

Well I stood in my driveway last night when I got home and I saw about a dozen over a 20 minute period.

I made a wish upon each and every one of them yet when I stepped indoors Cheryl Cole was not waiting naked in my bed.

Who should I write a letter of complaint to?

I'm auctioning off my Pentax LX outfit to raise more funds towards my Pentax 67. The listings are now live on eBay and can be seen here:

hefty's eBay listings

There are listings for:

Pentax LX body with FA-1 finder and SC-21 screen
Pentax Winder LX
Pentax LX screen SG-20 (boxed)
Pentax LX strap (genuine with correct fittings)
Pentax LX Grip B (incredibly useful)
Pentax LX standard fitted case
Pentax LX standard film door (spare)
Pentax M 28 f/2.8
Pentax M 50 f/1.4
Pentax M 85 f/2

As usual the starting price is 99p, there's no reserve and I won't finish auctions early. They all run for 7 days and end next Tuesday evening (16/08 ) just after 6.30pm.

Thanks for looking!

The full moon with the sunny 16?
Actually I think a full moon can only be shot using Sunny 16 - it's too small in the sky to get an accurate reading through conventional methods but we know the light is the same as a sunny cloudless day here on Earth. When I've taken pictures of the moon I've always found f/16 and 1/ISO (more like f/5.6 and 1/4xISO on digital) gives me perfectly exposed results.

Is this fact, or rumour? Lightroom is still at version 3.0. with no updates available. The next update should be 3.1, not 3.2 ? ? ?
They've skipped 3.1 to bring the numbering in line with ACR which is now at 6.2 - there was an announcement on DPR yesterday.

You can download .PDF manuals for both the 6x7 and the TTL prism finder from here:

http://www.butkus.org/chinon/pentax/pentax_6x7/pentax_6x7.htm

I just had a quick scan of the one for the prism and it suggests that it won't give a reading without a lens attached (last page under "Caution"), hence you've no way of checking until you get hold of one.

As for where to buy, eBay is probably the greatest source but many camera dealers stock used 6x7/67 lenses - sometimes they appear in the classified section on this site but not very often. Camera fairs are another good source if you have one going on nearby.

Welcome to the forum.

1) Does it make any difference to put the CPL in front of other filters rather than behind ? (ND Grads, Warming filters)
2) How is the quality of the B+W filter? I have heard they are good (although expensive)
1) No. It shouldn't make any difference what order the filters sit in.

2) Excellent. I have Hoya, Pentax and B+W filters and I think that the B+W ones are the best you can buy. They are expensive here in the UK (and probably in HK too) but in many EU countries their prices are similar to Hoya. In these days of international trade I'd look at buying B+W filters from a German supplier where they seem to be cheapest.

Pressing the "OK" button scrolls through four different display modes - one of which is to turn the monitor off during shooting for power saving. Just check you haven't selected that before anything else by pressing OK and choosing a different display mode.
