If it`s under warranty you ought to take it back to the retailer. Failing that try Johnsons Photopia ( Pentax Authorised Repairers ) Can`t be more helpful, sorry.

Pressing the "OK" button scrolls through four different display modes - one of which is to turn the monitor off during shooting for power saving. Just check you haven't selected that before anything else by pressing OK and choosing a different display mode.
