I did take some photos back in May this year with a Hama-branded +2 diopter. Quite impressed with the results - no really noticeable drop-off in sharpness but of course the depth of field is tiny as with any macro lens.
This was shot with the Spotmatic/Takumar 58mm/Ilford FP4+/Hama +2 close up lens:

Not a great photo (and honeysuckle looks better in colour!) but shows what can be achieved with even a fairly cheap and cheerful filter.

To give an example of the three lenses you have right now:
The 35-70mm zoom is not very rare but is quite good, it should be worth about £35.
The 70-200mm zoom is rare but not many people want it, hence it is also worth about £35.
The 28mm is rare, very good and lots of people want one. Hence I'd say you would be able to sell it for £200+
The SFx camera itself is probably only worth around £20 so less than any of the lenses. It still takes good photos though so why not prove to your Mum you're a good photographer and maybe she will buy you a K-x for Christmas after all?

Your Mum is right in so far as film cameras are quite expensive to run (feed with film, get pictures developed, etc) compared to digital models, but the end results can be just as good - if not better in some cases!
If you'd like to have a go at running some film through your SFx (a very good camera by the way) then I'd suggest you start by having a read through the manual. You can download a copy from here (password is Pentax - case sensitive) and if there is anything specific you don't understand then don't be afraid to come back here and ask, people will be happy to help.
In answer to your other question, yes the lenses you use on your SFx will also work on the K-x or any other Pentax DSLR.
Good luck!

A really good set of photos all round - if that was my wedding I'd be delighted with your work. Congratulations!

The 6"x4" enlargements were quite acceptable to my eyes (but then, I'm probably not that fussy).
It'll be interesting to know if a "branded" filter makes any appreciable difference to the quality of the final image though. I look forward to hearing your verdict when the pictures come back.
