I already have the 110 Speedbag and in around a month's time I'll have a Q (assuming all goes to plan), so I'll let you know then if they play nicely together.

I still have my MX and it's still working fine, but I've not used it in a little while. To be honest, these days I tend to use either digital or 120 film - all my 35mm equipment falling into disuse somewhat. It's a shame in a way as the MX is still a lovely thing to hold and use.

I've used quite a bit of the new Portras (160, 400 and 800) and like them all, but I'm especially fond of the new 160 which produces beautiful colours and is virtually grain free. I find the 400 and 800 a little muted in comparison (although a few tweaks at scanning stage sorts that out). The best feature (in my opinion) of the new Portras is that they are so much easier to scan than any other 120 films I've worked with - whatever Kodak have used in the film base (and I've read it's a development of their cinema technology) seems to stay rigid after development which in turn means it lays flat in the scanner; great for those of us without access to ANR glass.

Overall I'd give any of the new Portras an unreserved thumbs up*.

*Disclaimer: 120 only, I haven't shot any 35mm nor am I likely to in the foreseeable future.

I've got three spare MX top plates but they're all as bad as (worse in one case) the one you've got. My working MX has a dent in the same place too, but not quite as deep - sorry fella! Lots of other spare bits up for grabs though if you want to tackle the wind lever?

I'd certainly have paid a fiver if I'd seen it though, so congrats to you both.

On eBay I'd say around £60-80 for the A70-210, £25-35 for the A50/2 and £20-30 for the M135/3.5.

You'll get less here on the forum but by the time you account for eBay/PayPal fees (approx 12-13%) the net result will be similar.

They're all good lenses but none are particularly rare or sought-after hence the relatively low values. I think the M135/3.5 is the commonest K-mount lens after the M50/2 - Pentax shifted them by the boatload and most seem to have survived. The other two would probably both break into the top 10 of the most plentiful Pentax lenses chart.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

All excellent as usual Mike but the first hoverfly pic is exceptional. The point of focus is perfect and the backdrop is absolutely spot-on. A racing certainty for inclusion in the PPG methinks.

It was your FA43 pictures that persuaded me to buy mine! I couldn't even wait for SRS to get a silver one in stock so ended up with a black one.

K.
Don't get me wrong, the FA43 is superb; but for *my purposes* the DA35 is better suited.

I'm on the horns of a dilemma because if I sell it I know I'll end up regretting it, but if I keep it that's a chunk of money tied up in a lens that no longer sees the light of day. Maybe I should just toss a coin...

Can't find my old hip flask and it was a bit rubbish anyway - this looks much better...
