If you used them on your Super-A then they'll work just fine on your K200D.

Zoom technology has come a long way over the years so don't expect the Sigmas or the Vivitar to be any better than the current kit lenses (and manual focus of course), however, the Pentax A50/1.7 should prove to be a very nice performer indeed - a good focal length for portraiture on digital and fast too.

Thanks Peter, the next question is.. How do I know if it is working?: I do not see any pulses of light travelling between the two.. does that mean I havent got it set up right still?
The flashes of light can be measured in milliseconds before the main flash goes off - you won't detect them with the human eye I'm afraid...

I don't know the *istDL, but on the K10D go to page 6 (last page) of the "Custom" menu where you'll find the option "Flash In Wireless Mode".

By default this will be set to "1" (on) but you also have the option to switch it off ("2").

There are 3 basic types of wireless flash as far as the P-TTL system goes:

1. Master. Controls slaves and contributes to the picture.

2. Controller. Controls slaves but doesn't contribute to picture.

3. Slave. Takes orders from either a Master or Controller.

The built in flash for the K10D can be either 1 or 2; the AF360 can be used in all three modes.

Even when your built in flash is set to "Controller" it will still emit a pre-flash as this is its way of communicating with its slave(s) - don't let this put you off! A review of the resultant photo should show where the light source is coming from...

If I were in your shoes, I'd rather have a K10D/GX10 and a new lens than a K20D/GX20 on its own.

But I'll probably wear my K10D out before I chop it in against a new model, whereas there are always new lenses I'd like to try...

Hello Amin and welcome to the forum.

I'd just like to echo what Hyram said above re: looking at camera bags in a shop - take your own gear with you and make sure it all fits comfortably before handing over any cash. Buy the best bag you can afford as it'll be protecting your expensive gear so you don't want one that falls apart or leaks water!

Looks good - I look forward to seeing some results.

All this talk of 35 Flek's has left me with an urge to visit eBay again...

I don't envy them this year, there's snow and sleet forecast for January 1st.

I'd imagine Estonia's far enough North, as long as you're in an area with little (or no) light pollution it should be OK.

The Northern Lights could be seen all over the UK prior to the Industrial Revolution, when the country was (mostly) pitch black at night. Probably not as impressive as it is from Greenland though...

They should both work, but they won't give you any form of P-TTL metering.

I don't know much about the Hanimex, but the Pentax AF200SA will still work in "Auto" - you need to set the K200D up the same way you did the Super A (flash sync speed / manual aperture / manual ISO) and all should be well.

I walked through Woolworths today and got a lump in my throat. I couldn't actually bring myself to buy anything (not that there was much left worth having except shop fittings) as it felt a bit like kicking an old friend when they're down.
