I think it's the same for the K200D as the K10D; in the Custom Menu find "Use of Aperture Ring" and change the setting to "Permitted".

Don't forget the lenses only work in (M)anual mode (with stop-down metering) and (Av)perture Priority (wide open only). The camera and the EXIF data will always show the aperture as being "F--" so don't let that throw you.

I've got a Quad FM4, can I join the gang too?

Bet there's nobody else on here with a Myst TMA3 amp though...

I've got an older generation Hoya SHMC polariser and find the results perfectly acceptable.

Actually, with specialist lenses (think fast long zooms, the Canon 60mm 5x macro, tilt/shift designs, etc) costing more than the bodies I've often thought that if I were a rich man I'd just buy the lenses I wanted irregardless of manufacturer and then stick a compatible body on each one. Makes good sense to me.

With the current exchange rates I understand the resale value of sticky labels has gone through the roof...

It's interesting to note that as of now, 77% of people who've taken part in this poll have said they would still buy Pentax.

Well Hoya must be doing something right because most companies would do unspeakable things to their own grandmothers for just half of that brand loyalty!

If it's waterproof to 15 feet then it should withstand a dunking in a washing up bowl with some Fairy Liquid...

Well, my soon-to-be-imported K7 has apparently just been packed over stateside. Cost just about an even £800 (factoring in a little bit of MS Bing cashback). I would really like to buy from a local dealer, but seeing the recently announced UK prices I didn't really see the K7 dropping to within £100-150 of that price anytime soon. Downside is having to wait for a month before I can get my hands on it.
Before you start celebrating your good fortune wait until it's actually in your hands. Items from the US can attract a substantial premium if they get caught in customs (duty + a handling charge) which from my own experience can be around 30-40% of the purchase price depending on the carrier. That means your £800 "bargain" could well end up costing you £1100-ish but with no UK warranty.

Not every package gets caught in customs but best to be prepared...
