I put down "yes" although in truth I'd be happy with the standard screen but I'd like Pentax to offer a split screen as an optional extra (at the same price as the other optional screens offered, rather than the Katz Eyes price).

In this case how is it possible for SRS to honour the warranty for the new user?
I think between retailer and manufacturer you'll find it's a case of "don't ask, don't tell".

If you were to take it in for a repair. and you have the original reciept, how will they know you are not the original buyer. Do they ask for ID :

Damn silly law if you ask me.
In reality if you hold the original receipt then it's unlikely anyone would make checks to prove you weren't the original purchaser, however, I agree the law is skewed against the consumer in this instance.

You'd probably get around £40-50 for the MZ5n on eBay (although by the time you account for various fees that's more like £35-40 net), the lens probably around £70 gross (say £60 net). If you sell them as a pair expect up to 20% less (say £90 gross / £75 net approx) than if you sell them seperately.

Hope that helps!

That doesn't make sense to me, What difference does it make who owns it
Under UK/EU law the manufacturer is only obliged to honour any warranty (or statutory rights) with regard to the original purchaser, once that person's sold it on to a third party then the manufacturer can legitimately wash their hands of any obligation.

As far as I know it's always been thus.

About DOF: I'm keeping to use no more f11 or f16 rarely, but I was reading a book by Mackie's about landscapes. He doesn't talk about DOF, but in the 99% of his photos he uses f/22 or f/32. Is there any reason?
He probably uses cameras with a larger imaging area; a large format camera at f/32 - f/64 would have about the same DOF as a medium format camera at f/22 - f/32, a 35mm camera at f/16 - f/22 or an APS sized DSLR at f/11 - f/16.

A lot of professional landscape photographers use large format view cameras so check the equipment he's using and allow for the fact you don't need quite as small an aperture to get the same effect.

Not far off George! Still, every camera needs a spares body as back up doesn't it? That's what I keep telling myself anyway...

I've always found SpeedGraphic very good value for Cokin P filters (I don't use the Z-Pros but they do stock them). Although they're UK based I'm sure they'd be just as happy to ship to Italy if you asked them.
