I had the K-x and still have the K7 and I find the K-x High ISO better than the K7. But I find the K-x too small for my grip, I sold it off.

if you love high ISO, get the K-r instead

Sell the K10D as the technology is old . . .

But seriously, if you love the K5 get that . . .

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the K20D GGS screen protector will fit a Samsung GX10 or are the screens a different size / shape.

I'm struggling to find a dedicated GX10 one.

Regards, Chris.
Get the protector for the K10D as it is 2.5 " in size, the K20D is 2.7"

Will wait for the next model before deciding whether to purchase the K5 or even buy the next model.

I'm completely new to film photography, as I have only worked with digital, and in a few months time I'll probably be backpacking and would like to get an extra camera and think it would be a film one so I can stick my 43mm ltd on it and use it as a point and shoot at times.
Are there any good recommendations as I don't know anything about the film bodies. I don't think I'll bother using MF when I'm going light and fast so preferably AF, and the smaller the body the better it is.
Also if I'm just taking pictures of general city/culture life, what kind of film would be easy to source and has a good quality? or shall I just pick a few rolls up from Boots

Thank you!
You could go for the MZ-6 or the ZX-L (USA) version. I have the MZ-S and used to have the MZ-M (All Manual Body).

On a further note, the older Z series like the Z-1, Z-20 were good cameras in their time too. I used to own the Z-20 and the Z-1SE

The K7 only has weaknesses if compared with the latest cameras, it's still a excellent camera.
This was the point of my initial post. I accept that the K-5 is in front of the K-7 in quite a few departments, but that doesn't mean the K-7 is a bad camera. Now at just over £600 I reckon it's good value. I have yet to see a review for the K-7 which wasn't short of excellent.

Why the upgrade...??
Good question. In reality there's nothing at all wrong with my K10D. Excellent results. Any failings are mine. But as I said, it's my sixtieth birthday, retirement is very close, so a present to myself will be nice. The K10D will stay as a second body.
good choice.

Any reason for the upgrade?
As I am the "official" school photographer, I needed a faster AF and changed to the K7 not knowing that in 6 months, the K5 would appear. So i will need to stick with the K7 because if I get the K5 I would lose a lot more money than what I got for the K7 and dual WR lenses as a bundle.
