I have the K7 and the 18-55WR and 50-200WR lenses as my kit lenses. I do have a DA*16-50/2.8 which I still keep when I had my K20D. Recently I got the 18-135WR to replace the 18-55WR as my walkaround lens. The DA* is used for school events when I need the F2.8 in low light.

The 18-135 i a great lens IMHO and so is the 18-55WR

I too am wondering if I should replace the 50-200WR for the DA55-300, but I already have an old SIGMA 75-300 F4-5.6.

I thought the K7 had a device for correcting slanting horizons, or even avoiding them in the first place. Boy do I need that. I seem incapable of holding a camera level and have to waste lots of pixels straightening out horizons and buildings on the computer.

Looks like a lovely place to visit with thousands of photo opportunities. Some vibrant colours, too.

You've got some wonderful equipment to hand.
Thanks Andrew. I never tried that before. Looks like I got to use the K7 more and find its other features I have not been using.

Penang is a nice place with great local food as well as the king of fruits called the "durian". It has a sweet or bitter flesh but with a smell only us locals can stand. Visitors would normally avoid it because it "smells".

Hehe, slanted horizons must be due to me. Will look out for such slants in future. Shots were taken from my hotel balcony and I was half sleep and my daughter wanted to take the sunrise.

Yeah, the sun does not really come up early as it was still about 7 plus in the morning and the full sunrise is about 7.35- 7.45 in the morning. This was taken just after 7 am.

Thanks Mike.
