I would choose the Bigmos (150-500mm). The 150-500mm leaves some room to crop at 500mm even and at 400mm the lens is still pretty sharp and leaves a lot of room for cropping.

I have the 150-500mm only for 1.5 weeks now but it's already my favourite lens and some of my best shots I have ever made are made with the 150-500mm.

One of my last shots : http://s692.photobucket.com/albums/vv288/porntani/?action=view¤t=IMGP0891.jpg

Tamrac Velocity 10, I can put my K-r mounted with the 150-500mm in that slingbag. Easier to get the camera out of the bag (and in) also. Also room for 1 more camera or a few lenses (3 or 4).

The closest to an universal mount is the Tamron Adaptall-mount adapter. But still no AF though.

A prime is a lens with a fixed focal length.

A pity Pentax haven't hit what ever predetermined target figure Tamron use to produce their lenses. They seem to have practically dropped Pentax from their range.
I don't know if it's true but I have read Tamron has not dropped the K-mount totally. Some of their lenses could be offerend in K-mount also in the near future. Have read it on DPreview and on Pentaxforums.com by people who contacted Tamron.

But I think it's Tamron's loss if they wait too long. Sigma's offerings are quite good too most of the time and I went almost all Sigma for my AF-lenses. I think the Sigma line-up has enough to offer in K-mount and if they omit some of their new offerings for K-mount there almost always is an alternative. Although the mentioned 120-300mm f2.8 is quite unique of course.

Interested in a trade for my Tamron 90mm. Could you sent me a message? (almost registered for 30 days now but can not send messages at the moment, can reply though).

FYI, I live in the Netherlands but shipping to and from the UK should be not that expensive.

The lens is heavy but still usable handheld, thanks to SRS for the fast delivery.

500mm and 1/125 in the third picture, so that means the OS does it's job. Great set, hope to get my copy at the end of this week.

Looks pretty sharp at the long end.

The 150-500mm is quite a steal at these prices, bought one a few days ago. Already got a 17-70mm OS HSM, the 70mm macro, Sigma 70-200mm HSM II and the Sigma 30mm f1.4. Went almost all Sigma for my AF lenses now, ready for the price increase.

The K-5 just broke the 1000 euro mark over here in The Netherlands, one shop offering it for that price but normally other shops will follow suit soon after.

In GBP that's around 865 at the current conversion rate.
