Cleaning up my collection since I intend to only hold the lenses I really use on a regular basis.

Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 in good to excellent condition. Glass is in excellent condition, the rubber zoomring has some white spots but nothing major.
GBP 230

Vivitar Series 105mm f2.5 PK/A. Legendary Vivitar lens with probably the best looks of all the macro lenses in this range. Besided the looks it also delivers crisp and sharp images. The lens is in excellent condition with some minor dust inside.
GBP 230

Pentax A 35-105 f3.5. Also a lens with a somewhat legendary status and considered a stack of primes. Delivers really good sharpness and color accross the range. The lens is optically in good to excellent condition. The barrel in fair to good condition with some scratches on the filter ring and paint chips on the barrel.
GBP 65

Shipping from the Netherlands, shipping is 12.50 GBP. Can be paid with Paypal (in Euro).

The lens is in good to excellent condition. Some minor marks on the barrel. Considered on of the best zoom lenses in its price class, sharper than most comparable zooms like the Sigma 70-300mm, Pentax 50-200mm etc.

GBP 75 including shipping from the Netherlands.

I have sold quite a lot of lenses of my collection, the Sigma 10-20mm is the only lens I bought another copy of after I sold the lens previously. It's a great lens, although you have to know how to use it to get great results. Never had any problems with the sharpness in my pictures, just slap it on f8 and you will get a sharp picture front to back.

The only contest I have entered was with a picture made with the 10-20mm, won me second prize and a Canon compact camera.

Well I have the 55-300 DAL, and the Sigma 150-500 OS version. Frankly I don't find the OS any better than the SR in the K-r body but as it's only £599 new you would struggle to get an old one a lot cheaper. Both of these work extremely well for wildlife:-

Scroll down don't go to gallery which are older.

Great shots Dave. I find the OS better than SR beyond 300mm but I use my lens for action sports also (kite surfing, wind surfing etc). Tracking with the OS on is better than with SR on. Getting an stabilized image in the viewer is worth something, SR won't give me that.

But it's really a quick fix of course to correct the exposure that much. Some EV compensation is no problem but going from an almost dark picture to a properly exposed picture leaves out much of levels the highlights you could have captured.

Checking the exposure while you're taking the picture or taking a test picture and check the histogram would work out better because you can compensate (EV+ or -) on the spot.

The K-r is a fairly good camera considering IQ, I think you won't see too much difference below ISO 1600. I have used the K-r and K-x extensively before I bought my K-5 and the IQ is great, the K-5 is better by 1 least 1 stop but like I said you will only see major differences above ISO 1600. The K-r (and K-x) were usable above ISO 1600 and could be used up to ISO 4000 or 5000 even but the K-5 is much cleaner at those values.

Dynamic range of the K-r is already very good that's why you won't see that much difference compared to a K-5. The K-5 preserves the highlights better than a K-r but in most pictures you won't have too big of a problem with preserving the highlights on a K-r.

A great lens, can confirm the near mint condition.
