Bought one too (from SRS). Had a hard time deciding to choose between a K-5 or a new lens. In the end I thought I can do pretty well with my K-r and the K-5 only offers some extra functionality and the possibility of better usable high iso settings. A new lens though would offer much more possibilities since I'm limited to 200mm max at the moment.

Hope this beast still fits inside my Tamrac Velocity 10.

Oh, and your prices already do match German ones. €1180 for a K5 is "normal". Right now, that's just over £1k. And Germany is the cheapest market in the EU that's worth mentioning, at least in my experience.

Over here in the Netherlands the K-5 almost touched 1.000 euro before bouncing up a little bit to around € 1.050. But there is one shop where you can order the K-5 for € 1.029. A matter of time before the K-5 breaks 1.000 euro over here.

Great lens and my copy had no lenscreep whatsoever, recommended for anyone on the lookout for a fast telezoom. The hood is also a great extra, most copies don't come with the hood.

Sigma puts OS in every lens of them also made for Pentax but for Pentax it's only deadweight. There is no real benefit of OS compared to the in-body of Pentax DSLR's. Better to pick up some old Sigma lenses without OS at half the cost in most cases.
