What you have locally is quite something, maybe Wales isn't so bad. 3 is a standout.

If you manage to find another one for £30 then I'll happily pay you £35 for it on top of the postage costs. I like the idea of sticking a camera in someone's face without them having a clue you are photographing them.

It's not against any rules. In my book a deal is a deal. I don't like people whose word means nothing. They belong on ebay, not here.

I like lomography a lot.

I do a bit myself, but not authentically, creating something of the look digitally. I find the Q is an ideal tool for the job and that is one big reason why I bought it.

I also want to get into mobile phone photography, I'm on the lookout for a mobile phone camera (I don't need the phone bit).

I think there are lots of lessons to be learned for traditional photography.

However, talking of obsessions for the latest thing. Wouldn't that include lomography, which is reflected in the price of Lomo cameras.

I'm not sure I'd have the guts to do a paid wedding shoot either, all those white dresses and bright sun.

I think some of these settings are a little overcomplicated with too many elements in the scene. In a fast paced day like a wedding shoot I don't think there is time to carefully consider all potential pitfalls in a scene. So my advice would be to keep things as simple as possible, in particular with regards to backgrounds. I do think background distractions and overly tight framing are recurring features of several of these shots, the closer portraits I think are easily the more successful:

Shot 3 I think would have been better with a couple of steps to the right to eliminate the hay bale and trees. I would also centre the subjects, I don't get the space to the left or the amount of sky, a little more space at the bottom and less at the top would give a better balance.

In shot 4 there is a van to the left of the bride's head, a tree growing from the groom's shoulder and too much sky.

Shot 7 seems to me unbalanced too. Blown highlights in a photo always attract the eye and a sky like this is too difficult a contrast situation to deal with, so I would eliminate it. Plus packing in the subjects has lead to face obscuring. Inevitable on a large group shot but for small groups can be avoided.

Shot 8 is a nice idea, the vignette is very heavy though and the bloke on the left is tightly squeeezed by the frame.

Shot 9, again too much sky and cutting off below a joint (the knee in this case) always looks awkward.

Shot 10, a step to the right would have distanced the background tree more from the bride's head.

Shot 11. The hem of the dress is cut off. A cm could have been borrowed from the top.

hth.

Not necessarily.

Someone from the past could only tell someone from the future about time travel once time travel has been invented. And it hasn't yet. Future time travel though is theoretically possible.

I agree that someone from the future would have told us if backwards time travel were possible. Either that or they would have kept quiet about it but William Hills would have gone out of business.

So that leaves forwards time travel. However, how would someone from the past prove to someone from the future that they had travelled through time?

It's a good looking site with good looking photos. Here are some thoughts:

On the front page if I move a cursor onto the photos it changes into a hand, but if I click nothing happens. So it appears it doesn't work, even though I might not expect anything to happen.

The all photography galleries page seems a little superfluous, since it results in two clicks to get to a gallery rather than one click from the drop down menu. That idea could instead maybe be incorporated into the home page.

In the galleries I find the thumbnails too small. Also I have st scroll to fit the whole page on screen (my monitor is a 22" widescreen). The photo fits on fine but I have to scroll down to see the title, which I can't be bothered to do for every photo.

Does every single photo need a copyright announcement, since they are watermarked anyway, a general copyright announcement somewhere might suffice.

A big rope anchored at the departure point so I could pull myself back again if it was a bit rubbish on the other side, a bottle of Theakston's Old Peculier and a cheese sandwich.

In terms of image quality the K30 probably represents better value for money. However, I would personally choose the K5 as it has a top LCD screen, which I use all the time.
