One lens per camera, K10+ SMC m 200 f4 - K5 with my 28mm Vivitar mf jobbie + nd Grad(s)

Thanks for suggestion and the kind comments - I have just checked my Collins Gem guide of 'ickle birdie dudies' and it seems that you are correct - the green ones appear to be females Crossbills with the red ones being males

I wishes I had taken a 300mm instead but hey ho

Thanks Tim, I use the Cokin 'a' system the grad(s) in the holder today are by Cokin although I have others and all seem to be much of a muchness to me

What you have locally is quite something, maybe Wales isn't so bad. 3 is a standout.

Like these Stuey. Are they taken on the moors above Llangollen up the Horseshoe Pass? I've never seen a crossbill in the flesh, lucky you.

Howard you are spot on these are on the moors but are on the south side but if you walk far enough you can reach the horseshoe pass

I have never seen crossbills before but there were quite a few of them flying around
