ME super was a good camera and they come up cheap because there were so many sold. There must be loads of them that have had very little use and will be working fine, so long as the batteries haven't leaked.

Light seals are not a difficult diy job.

If you can remember the old price list (large sheet of newspaper with tiny writing) you can remember how good Jessops were.

Good prices, Good staff, huge stock, often the first port of call for out of the ordinary accessories. If they didn't have it they would get it but they usually had it listed on the price list. They even listed a magnifying glass to read the price list with, after someone had complained about the size of the print.

Searching the old list was entertainment in itself. I think they stopped doing the price list because they couldn't print it in time to keep it current.

I think I would have found any problem with the sensor shift movement by now, if the noise you are worried about was any problem. Both my K10 and K5 do it.

Just back from another week in Scotland, wandering around in the mountains. The camera is usually in a holster attached to my rucksack hip belt and happily moves with every step. I've had the K5 for 18 months and it gets regular exercise this way, as did the K10 for 3-4 years.
Both are still fine, you don't need to worry.
