Quiet right. If your a fan of that Photouniverse guy he's gotta video called Freedom From Slavery - well worth a watch, (a short one for him too) IMO one of the better videos on Youtube itself.

Just joining in with the repetitiveness, why let it end now?

My advice to the OP is Get the K5IIS and upgrade your algorithms post processing routines, but don't show any enthusiasm for either as this is unadulterated hyperbole that demeans us all.

Again, sorry to post on you For Sale thread but wanted to say sincerest... well something. I'm shocked you been forced into this drastic action and hope the ship rights itself sooner rather than latter.

As bwlchmawr, fancy equipment doth not a good time or good photographer make...

If I was you I'd pick up a K10D or GX10 off ebay or SRS to stay in the game. Brilliant machine at bargain prices now. Impeccable image quality in normal shooting conditions and the bonus of no 'pinky dangle' on the grip compared to the K5 Darn might get one myself!

I don't know how many times it needs to be repeated FORGET ABOUT MOIRE (unless you photo textiles for a LIVING)

If you can, try and stretch for the K5IIs, you will feel a lot more satisfied with the picture quality.

I have been running a 6D along with my K5 & K5IIs for the past couple of weeks and the K5IIs easily competes with sharpness and perhaps has that little extra 'bite' over the 35mm sensor 6D. Of course in general image quality, high ISO and DOF the bigger sensor wins, just. If you don't shoot super high ISO that often or do portraiture for a living then the K5IIs is a severely good and professional standard machine.

I am convinced the K5IIs will go down as a little bit of an unheralded legend

I don't know, the D3300 looks like its got right in there, ahead of the game yet again.

You would expect a 'K60' or whatever the K50 replacement is, to have to compete with it to please the 'buy by numbers' laymen.

Value is not all about price, but Pentax offer features in their cameras that the others don't.

Quality of construction, weather sealing, glass pentaprism viewfinders, 100% view, it goes on and on.

In may respects Pentax are well ahead of the competition.
Maybe, but for the laymen those could easily equate to -

Unnecessarily and overly heavy, I'm not going to be out in bad weather, what's a pentaprisim? look at the pixels numbers in these new viewfinders, the adverts for Canikon go on and on.

In many respects I've never heard of Pentax

Don't worry Smeggy, I'm sure this will turn into 13 pages, of hopes, dreams and hypothetical postulation soon enough.
