Thanks for the link Ken. Some great photos.
I regret not taking up the special offer we got to attend the games.

I have just deleted seventy pics taken today at the enthronement of the new Bishop of Durham.
They did not look very artistic at all.

20c in the Olympic Village. People have been swimming in the sea too.Much better sat in an armchair in front of the fire and watching it all on TV.
Even in the mountains it was warm(ish).
I've enjoyed the speed skating (of course!), and that is what I'd have wanted to see if we had gone.
I'd have ended up with more than 70 pics to be deleted though. There is a fine line between artistic and rubbish.

Shame DOIK. I hope you still enjoyed the enthronement.
I took photos a couple of years ago when the Giro d'Italia came through town. Lots of motion blur. No artistic merit. Binned the lot.

No problem Gwyn, I will have to delete a few more but I should still have over four hundred. Most of the failures were due to guests moving too fast, at times the shutter speed dropped to 1/8th of a second and that was at ISO 12800.I had a canon user at my side so we should have it covered.

Good to hear that. The guests were moving too fast at the Giro too .
