Very nicely shot Nigel, great colours and crisp detail in all of them. Number 6 is my favourite, but they're all nice and I don't mind the colour popping. I have used it a few times in the past, not often, but there are some images where it seems to fit.

I can't comment on the manual too much as I tend to use the electronic version. I have the original K-3, not the mark two version, and I can say after 3 years of moderately hard use it is a superb camera. I shot a music festival this weekend just gone, using the K-3 and the K-5iis, both have delivered superb results, but the K-3 definitely has the edge as an 'all rounder' when taking into account AF performance, general IQ and handling. I had it mounted on a tripod with the DA*300 and it has nailed focus in very difficult lighting conditions almost 100% of the time.

These really are great Andrew, you have mastered the art of the Mx-1. Thanks so much for suggesting I contact Barrie Forbes, from whom I bought my Mx-1, I love it too.

All of the images are great, but there are some that stand out for me. The first one is sublime, the third one as others have mentioned, the church interior really shows off the quality of the lens, the sardine is great also, but my favourite is the one of the leaf on the sand.

Thanks for posting these, following your lead I will definitely be going out with just the Mx-1 more often.

Agree, I was thinking 6 & 7 also but the opening images have lovely balance to them.

Nice set David, I bet travelling light was liberating!
Hi Gareth, thanks very much, although I didn't travel light! I had my K-3, K-5iis, Tripod, five lenses and the Mx-1! Most days I used the DSLR's, but on this day just the Mx-1.

A really excellent set of images, not going to choose a favourite as they are all quality.

I would guess it's a very small moth, we get some that look like this on our Marjoram and Oregano plants?

These are good Alistair, very good. The first one in particular. It's somewhat disturbing, but I'm not sure why?

Why on earth are you selling it? You took some spectacular shots with this machine in Iceland, if I had the budget and I were a bit more serious about my photography I would snatch your hand off.

Hope you get what you want for it.

Thanks for the comments Nigel, Phil & Andrew and especially so to Andrew who suggested I contact Barrie Forbes about the MX-1. I got on very well with it, although I still love the flexibility of the DSLR system and took out the K-3 or K-5iis on most days, with the MX-1 generally performing evening duties. It's a great little camera though and I'm really pleased with it.

Whilst in Trieste I decided to only use the Mx-1 for all my shots, rather than taking out a DSLR. Some of these were in very dim and testing conditions, so they are pushing the little sensor to its limits. The F1.8 lens helped and I think the little marvel has performed rather well?

These images are perhaps not as interesting as some of the sets I've posted, but they've convinced me the Mx-1 is a keeper. All comments welcomed.
