The MX-1 looks fantastic for very good easy to take macro shots, the lens is superb - I'm tempted. If only it had a viewfinder.
Yeah, something that looked even more like my old MX, but with an EVF instead of being an SLR. A more reasonably priced equivalent to the Olympus OM-D*? I'd definitely be interested in that!

* does that name remind anyone else of a certain Liverpool electro-pop band from the late 70s? Or is it just me?

The one that catches my eye is the penultimate one. Though it might be better from a slightly different angle - the right hand bit is a bit dull.

But then, all my friends do think I'm a bit odd.

It's great being able to pop my hearing aids out and just concentrate on the images.
I find the tinnitus quite effective at blocking out stuff.

Damn you, ELP!

Try the Q10 colour configurator page - you can generate some worse colour combinaions than that!

Drummerboy, no idea why the link doesn't work (works fine for me).

However, if you search on 'AA1 Black Camera Case Bag for Pentax X5 X90 X70' (without the quotation marks) on Amazon, that should bring it up. Well, it does for me. (we need a fingers-crossed smiley)

I am getting on fine with the new Pentax X but having difficulty finding a suitable case. There are plenty to see on line but am sceptical whether they will be a good fit i.e. I don't want it too large nor too small as I won't carry anything extra in it. Preferably I'd like to go to a shop and see the case and determine quality etc. Any help in this would be much appreciated.

I ended up with one of these (from Amazon). Pretty small, but big enough to hold the X5 (may need to move the internal divider a bit) and some spare batteries/extra SD card/tube of Polo mints.

Not waterproof and the clips that connect the shoulder strap are plastic, but otherwise seems well made. However, do bear in mind that whenever I recommend something (up to and including retailers) they seem to go downhill fast. It's a gift I have.

And how many "ordinary" people got to fly on Concorde
Quite a few. IIRC there were a few Concorde fan groups and they used to run quite cheap charter flights - usually quite short flights round the Bay of Biscay and back. Not supersonic for very long, but long enough to get a cetificate.

To far to travel for a day out
Oh, I don't know...

I worked at an airline and one of my colleagues once, by means of spare seats on a chartered Concorde going cheap, went on a day trip to Hong Kong.

Just to let people know, I have just received an e-mail from someone in the 'Pentax Ricoh Imaging Technical Support' team. The info has been passed on to the Webmaster, so something should happen. Eventually.
