Well, they do make nice spectacle lenses...

Keep up the good work, no matter what gear you need to use.

One slight problem I have found is that, with high contrast oudoor pics, you can end up with skies that tend to cyan rather than true blue.

You sometimes also see this with older TV programmes, I think a lot of dedicated video cameras still use CCD sensors. where the cameraman didn't get it quite right.

Why is everybody spelling in US English?
There is no such thing as British English, there is English and mistakes.
Were it not for the fact that several 'Americanisms' in use these days are in fact older English usages which were kept in American-English when English-English changed, you could have a point.

Oh, and I used American spellings in my post because that's how they are spelt in the PSE menus.

And, if it's OK with you (if not, get the mods to delete it), with a bit of PSE (crop, colorize and selective brightening)...

If it weren't for the two vans, it would look like an hand-coloured antique pic.

Not quite, but there have been occasions when I have seen something and thought, 'there's a good picture there.'

Only to realise, after a bit of thought, that to get the right angle and light, I would have to be several feet in the air. In the middle of the road. During rush hour.

Or, if you want to go all hi-tech, find someone with a 3-d printer, give 'em the measurements and there you are.

A friend (male, mid-70s) has decided to sell his Lotus Elise and use the space in his garage to play with his train set - oops, I mean build a model railway. He's already started buying locomotives to add to what has been sitting in boxes since his childhood. Is this normal? Is it a Good Thing? Is it the secret to a happy marriage in the 8th decade of your life? What is the female equivalent?

"...living on nothing more than rainwater and neglect. In fact, and quite unexpectedly, it seems to be thriving. "

Acording to Charlie Dimmock, who was banging on about them on today's repeat of Garden Rescue, that's all they need - they get all their nutrients form the insects they consume. She planted hers in nutrient free compost and watered them with rainwater - apparently tap water will kill them.

Some things just don't work as panoramas. Like this (not a Pentax shot, so just a link). Taken from the inside of a right-angle bend.
