Scott Kelby Photowalk

I hadn't heard of this either but looking on the web shows the closest to me is London and I won't have time to get down there and back this weekend. Maybe next year if I've got a bit more notice :)

Scott Kelby Photowalk

Thanks for asking! Just got back in town from the extended vacation I made out of the Photowalk. 8) Weather was lovely, and Fairhope is the epitome of Southern small-town quaintness. I took the time to experiment, which I enjoyed. Posting my two submissions in Your Photos in a sec.

Those Who Never Sleep

I heard a very interesting radio program on this but sadly have forgotten most of it but the gist seemed to suggest that while you manage on 5 hours you need 8 but as you got older this just didn't happen so easily. I think I'll go and have a rootle about. I would dearly love to get back to 8 hou...

Competition Rules

Stefan, report back when you have read and understood every word of the Act. :D S. 80 gives the artist the right not to have his work published in an objectionable way. Provided I don't make a public spectacle of it, I see nothing in the Act to stop me burning Tracey's bed. G

Ebay at it again!

Disallowing sellers from leaving negative feedback for buyers has ended tit-for-tat feedback from disreputable sellers. Yes indeed, now the buyer can just hold the seller to ransom, leave a negative out of spite with no repercussion or waste their time by bidding on an item and then not paying. ...

Ebay at it again!

There was a world before ebay . . . it was just a bit more time consuming. Unfortunately almost totally ineffective by comparison as well. There is really no other way to find that rare book that someone in Australia might have, or conversely sell that obscure 1920s camera part to a Japanese coll...

Energizer Lithium AA battery source (UK)

Tedious ebay listing.

Yes, getting very annoying. The same thing happened a few months back with someone from Germany advertising something just as useless.

Crazy Cameras Website

Don't worry, if anything is not OK it will be mentioned. Cast your mind back to when someone referred to a spam message that was hitting the Private Messages...they copied the message into the forum, thus repeating the dubious links, etc. In this case it was just in case the destination websit...

Has this website slowed down?

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this site has become unusably unresponsive? Not slow as such - in the last day or two I have found it just waits for ages before finally loading the page. I thought it was just me, because I was working wirelessly downstairs, but I'm back in the office and ...

Has this website slowed down?

Yes, it struck me that it was a handshake/protocal bottleneck thingy somewhere on my route round the net to your server. John you connection is considerably faster then mine (say in Brummie accent). But I have always known my Sky connection was rubbish (used to be on Virgin till some cost saving w...

Has this website slowed down?

It's definately a routing issue. I just switched to using my mobile phone as a modem with my laptop & the site was back to normal.

Has this website slowed down?

IE8 here is fine, Virgin is fine, but the ISP does slow down a couple of times a day and needs the router to be rebooted when that happens. After that it's back up to full speed.

Shooting Birds.... The feathered kind!

Hey Guys... This is my first post! I am not a big poster... Was wondering if I could pick the brains of your collective experience? I am from an action back ground of mainly shooting cars, bikes and fast jets but I cannot for the life of me get a good shot of a bird in flight because they a...

Shooting Birds.... The feathered kind!

That why use a large depth of field! That way you can know your field of focus and hand hold the flash and move it about to get different lighting effects!
