Pre-ordered K7 and price rises?
I'm happy to sit back and wait .. for a week or two. If it hasn't dropped to under a grand after that I will no doubt have to give in and buy one :lol:

I think most of it is currency related. Last year £1 got you 245Yen now it's about 145Yen. That's a big hit. I think the Yen is artificially high at the moment as most other currencies are slowly creeping back towards where they were a year ago. I think the Yen will have to come down with a bump soo...

Yes, prices now are lower in the Euro zone, but a couple of months ago that was not the case. Plus we never get cash back offers like you do in the UK/USA/Canada. Prices here are rising also, just not by the same % as in the UK.

The best SLR we have is the k7 and I don't think it beats the D300 in terms of speed and auto focus alone. Yes it gas more AF point...

Yes but you ain't sure Mike. It's all in the deal the shop can make with the supplier, if they can get it for a better price so that they can sell it by quite a margin under the advice price I don't see why they shouldn't do it. Good they might make more profit per body but if they can sell more...

I just bought an fa50 1.4 from srs, at the old price, however my mum and dad just came back from hong kong and they bought me one as a gift, I was going to return the one from srs, However as this price hike is imminent may keep hold of and sell it at later date.
